A note to neurotypical (nt) collaborators:
nt actors: do not play "neurotype" or "learning disability"; play actions.
nt directors: do not pull Neurodivergence or Learning Disability narratives towards your own familiar and biased perceptions of existence.
nt dramaturgs: do not synthesize Neurodivergent-coded elements without the lens of the double empathy problem.
nt writers: check how you victimize, pity, kill, laugh at, forget, or get too inspired by Neurodivergent and/or Learning Disabled characters.
nt designers: do not theatricalize the minds of Neurodivergent and/or Learning Disabled characters with reductive video art, or infantilizing and/or fetishizing design components.
nt producers: hire and pay Neurodivergent and Learning Disabled collaborators--not just as consultants--but as producers, dramaturgs, directors, actors, designers, and technicians to stop the perpetuation of eugenics as practiced on Neurodivergent and Learning Disabled people in the media.
